Are you experiencing grief from any form of loss, whether it be death, relationships, identity, or transitions? Are you going through change or uncertainty? This half-day retreat offers a compassionate, contemplative space for processing those experiences.

We will address the often overlooked emotional and spiritual dimensions of grief that occur not only after the loss of life but also during shifts in identity, purpose, and belonging that accompany life’s changes. This retreat will help you develop skills and practices for processing grief in a way that centers mindfulness, self-compassion, and community through both individual and collective reflection.

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Engage in mindfulness and contemplative practices that support emotional regulation and grief processing;
  • Reflect on the role of grief in their lives and its connection to personal identity and transformation;
  • Explore how to navigate change and transition with more ease by using contemplative tools and practices;
  • Foster community connection, storytelling, and shared experiences to combat isolation in grief.
  • Create rituals or practices that honor the grief process while fostering personal and communal healing

Navigating grief can also be an opportunity for growth and reimagining one’s life path. Learn strategies to navigate major life transitions with a sense of groundedness, purpose, and self-compassion.

This half day retreat runs from 9am-noon at the beautiful spiritual center at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Coffee and tea will be available.
