The bedrock of every good fundraising campaign is a strong understanding of your organization’s finances – and the ability to communicate that understanding to potential funders. How does your organization describe its operating budget and relationship to annual income streams? How much money are you raising now and why do you need it on a particular timeline? This work takes us from spreadsheet to sales pitch and the best fundraising campaigns offer a strong and compelling narrative no matter the medium. In this workshop, you will learn to:

  • Craft readable and water-tight budgets
  • Track market research and fundraising progress with concise budget narratives
  • Create project budgets and other snap-shot financial pictures that specifically help potential donors understand your fundraising needs
  • Format budgets and financial information in clear and attractive ways (infographics, graphs, charts, etc.)

When a clear financial picture guides a fundraising campaign, we inspire confidence in potential donors and create continuity across all types of fundraising efforts.
