“Lent comes providentially to reawaken us…to shake us from our lethargy” -Pope Francis
Lent is the perfect time to refocus on noticing God’s work, and receiving God’s mercy. This retreat will create time and space for thoughtful reflection on God’s mercy towards us in the past, and open us to welcoming God’s mercy in the present moment. Reflect on the mercy that has been shown to us, a generosity of spirit that points us towards love.
The day of contemplative prayer will offer several different techniques for attendees to explore as they deepen their individual spiritual journey. This retreat is an opportunity for anyone seeking a guided, contemplative space to better understand your relationship to God this Lenten season.
The retreat will be held indoors at Rader Park, part of Church of the Apostles UCC. The adjoining outdoor park is also available to retreatants, featuring walking paths, pond, gazebos, butterfly garden, pine grove, beekeeping, stream, and community gardens. Retreat registration includes a box lunch.
