Grants can be a great source of funding, but they have a steep learning curve that can demoralize your team and sap time and energy. This workshop is for you if your organization or church:
- is interested in adding grant funding to your fundraising plan
- is preparing to write your first grant application
- has written a few grants but isn’t getting approved
- is confused by the grant writing process
Although funders can have different submission guidelines, we will walk you through common grant requirements so you can determine if your organization is a good fit and discuss ways to analyze grant opportunities and funders to make sure that your project matches their funding priorities. This workshop will teach you how to:
- find potential grants
- know if your organization is eligible for grants
- analyze a request for proposal (RFP) and decide if it is a good fit for you
- break down a grant’s requirements
- weigh the pros and cons of a grant opportunity to decide if it is worth the investment of the time and expense of creating a competitive grant application
- integrate grant funding into your budgeting appropriately
- organize an application process
This workshop is a prerequisite for the 4-Week Grant Writing Cohort.
