The ability to receive labor without compensation is referred to as volunteering. And it’s the superpower of the nonprofit business model, as opposed to for-profit business models. Proper scoping of this opportunity allows organizations to develop, build, expand, and capture expertise they may not otherwise be able to afford without the ability to sell unrelated products.
This session will explore:
- The unique ways that nonprofit organizations can deploy volunteer labor
- How to design, recruit, and manage volunteer programs as a strategic extension of your workforce—shifting the perception of volunteers from burdensome necessities to invaluable contributors
- Questions of volunteer burn-out, retention, and conflict management
Your volunteer corps can be your biggest advocates, most dedicated fans, and an indisputable driver for your organization’s growth and health.
