This workshop is designed to teach neighbors, family members, caregivers, co-workers, friends, pastors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help another adult who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.

During each training, participants will:

  • Identify common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges
  • Recognize common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges
  • Learn how to interact with a person in crisis and connect them with help
  • Be introduced to expanded content on trauma, substance use, and self-care.

This one-day class will be offered at PRC on Feb 6 as well as June 10.

Preparing for Class: A few weeks prior to the training you will receive an additional email with a link to go online and complete some pre-course work.
