An annual Church Impact Report allows your congregation to celebrate what has been accomplished in the last year and helps highlight a communal vision for next year. As churches shrink and grow, and communities continue to change, a report like this becomes a crucial way of engaging current and new members as well as community partners.

Annual reports allow you to:

  • showcase how your church meaningfully contributes to your community and members
  • highlight and thank the volunteers who put countless hours into your church’s mission
  • engage key stakeholders such as current congregants, potential new members, community partners, and donors
  • demonstrate your church’s vital role and value in the community and to its members

In this workshop, you will learn how to create a story tailored to your church, use statistics and stories in an engaging and accessible way, and speak to multiple audiences. We will discuss how to determine which stories and pieces of financial information are most relevant and desirable to include as well as how to get started collecting that information. No two church impact reports are the same! We’ll discuss several possibilities and options for your church to take into consideration.

Taught by Rev. Alexis Fuller-Wright and Elizabeth Harness Richardson

Rev. Alexis Fuller-Wright is the Designated Pastor of Salem UCC in Doylestown, PA. Alexis received her Master of Divinity from the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, CA and her certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Phoenix Center of Spiritual Direction.

In 2014 Alexis was selected to participate in the Next Generation Leadership Initiative, a decade-long program that works with young clergy committed to parish ministry. Alexis represents a new generation of leadership within the United Church of Christ who have been called by the Spirit to bring new life and energy into the church. She frequently consults with congregations on topics related to church revitalization.
