7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
This workshop is live online via Zoom.
Today, politics are everywhere – in our phones, on our TVs, and in our conversations. It can be difficult to watch the news and have conversations with friends or family about these topics. It can feel increasingly more difficult to manage your emotions and your responses to these things. In this workshop, Dr. Lesley Huff will explore how politics impact our relationships, while addressing the importance of emotional regulation and practicing responding to conflict with calmness and empathy.
This is part one in a two part discussion – the second part, Skills for Disagreeing Better, will be held on March 23, 2026. Sign up here.

Dr. Lesley Huff holds a Doctorate of Psychology with a specialization in Family and Marriage Therapy. She is a licensed psychologist and a certified teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion. She leads the Change Through Compassion program at the Samaritan Center and routinely facilitates trainings on boundaries for those in ministry. She also serves as an associate professor in the student counseling center at Millersville University.
