March 9, 2026
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
This workshop is live online via Zoom.
Since opening in March 2025, much of the work at the Pennsylvania Immigration Advocacy Clinic (PIAC), the immigration legal clinic facilitated by PRC, has been assisting clients with their applications for asylum. This training is for new or current volunteers who are interested in assisting in this way, or interested in learning more about the process. The training will cover what asylum is, what the process looks like, and what we do at PIAC. It will be held on Monday, March 9 from 7-8:30 pm via Zoom.
Carol Anne Donohoe has 14 years’ experience in immigration law and is currently a staff attorney at CWS Lancaster. There, she represents unaccompanied children who are detained in Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) Shelters in Pennsylvania, mostly at Abraxas, a high secure facility in Morgantown. She previously worked for several years as the Managing Attorney for Al Otro Lado’s Family Reunification Program and, prior to that, as a solo practitioner and a pro bono attorney representing hundreds of families detained at the Berks Family Residential Center. Her primary area of expertise is in asylum law.
